June is Effective Communications Month. And it’s a good idea to recognize the  importance of good communications, because it plays a role in almost every aspect of living – including your finances.

You’ll want to clearly communicate your financial goals to your loved ones – and you’ll want to hear theirs, too.

Let’s look at some of the communications you might have with family members:

Here's the fall 2021 Pirate schedule - Leipsic replaces Paulding in the NWC

Alex Hanna, Bluffton High School athletic director, released the fall 2021 sports schedules. One major change is that Paulding is no longer a member of the Northwest Conference. Leipsic has replaced the Panthers in the league.

The attactment lists the following 10 team schedules:

• Volleyball
• Girls' soccer
• Boys' soccer
• Golf
• Cross country
• Football
• JV football
• Junior high football
• Junior high volleyball
• Girls' tennis
 

Ohio National Guard will end its participation in the program in July

Ohio National Guard Major Gen. John Harris announced that he has directed July 2, as the end of all missions at all food banks across the state of Ohio.

National Guard troops have been working side by side with West Ohio Food Bank staff, partner agencies, and volunteers since March 25, 2020, all through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Statement from West Ohio Food Bank CEO Tommie Harner:

The Hardin County Pullers host its first tractor and truck pull of the summer on Saturday, June 12, at the Ada War Memorial Park, according to Chris Vermillion of the club.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and competition begins at 7 p.m.  

His 1:55.35 time is a Blufton High School record • Pirates score 11 points to finish in 21st place
