 Bluffton schools moved from a 2-hour morning delay to a total remote learning day, Thursday, Feb. 18.

The announcement was made on Ohio Alerts at 7:50 a.m. Bluffton has reached its five-day limit of school cancellations for the year and moved to remote learning as an option, which will not extend the school year,

16-year-old Bluffton girls – Mary Steiner, Jane Alspach, Sue Crawfis and Susan Hauenstein saw Elvis

On Nov. 16, 1956, Elvis Presley’s hit song Love Me Tender was released. On Nov. 21, 1956, Love Me Tender, Elvis’s first movie was released. On Nov. 24, 1956, Elvis Presley played two shows at the Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio. Tickets sold for $2.50.

Village park and recreation committee recommends wages and rates for 2021

It's 30 degrees, or less, outside, but Bluffton council’s park and recreation committee has the swimming pool on its mind.

Committee members Ben Stahl and Mitch Kingsley presented several recommends to council, which were approved on Feb. 8. The recommendations came from a Feb. 3 committee meeting with Jennifer Wilson, pool manager.

Several actions involve establishing positions, wages and rates for the 2021 season. Those amounts are attached below this story. There will be no admission price increases in 2021.

Two Bluffton High School graduates participated in fall and winter commencements. 

Haley Baker graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, with a Bachelor of Science: Psychology.

Heather Kahle graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (baccalaureate nursing) from Ohio University's College of Health Sciences and Professions.
