Bluffton University bookstore among locations hit

Bluffton police have released its July docket, which follows:

July 3
Officers received a fraud complaint from a Riley Street resident.

Officers responded to a College Avenue residence in reference to a child custody dispute. During the same incident, the complainant also reported an unknown person hacked her Netflix account.

July 4
An East College Avenue resident reported a criminal damage complaint to police.

Helen B. Suter, 99, died Aug. 2, 2019, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.  Helen was born Sept. 22, 1919, in Allen County, Ohio to the late Louis A. and Naomi (Spallinger) Burkholder.  On Feb. 9, 1941,she married Dale D. Suter who preceded her in death on May 1, 2004.

Come star gazing with Hardin Co. Astronomy Club

The Hardin County Astronomy Club will have meteor and star gazing for the Perseid meteor shower on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9:30 p.m. to midnight at the McGuffey village park on East South Street in McGuffey, according to David Humphreys of the club.  

If cloudy or raining, the club will try again on Sunday, Aug. 11, at the same time.  

National Night Out is Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool. The store below provides details of the event including the fireworks display.
