It seems like everyone is “detoxing” or "doing a cleanse” these days. But are these diets actually safe? Do they work?
Detoxification has been suggested as a way to remove toxins from the body, give you more energy and help you lose weight. However, "detoxing” has not been found to help remove toxins from the body or improve health, according to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health.
Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center recently received initial accreditation for the newly developed Internal Medicine Residency Program.
In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Next Accreditation System and the policies set forth in its Policies and Procedure Manual, all accredited programs are being reviewed annually by their relevant Review Committee.
At its Jan. 25, 2019 meeting, the Review Committee for Internal Medicine reviewed the program and granted Mercy Health – St. Rita's Medical Center Initial Accreditation.

The following is highway construction scheduled to occur within Hancock County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions, and unless otherwise noted, it will take place during daytime hours.
Interstate 75 northbound between state Route 613 and the Wood County line, north of the city of Findlay, will be restricted to two lanes through the work zone for guardrail repair on Monday, March 11. Work is expected to begin at 8 a.m. and continue through 2 p.m. Work is being performed by the ODOT District 1 roadway services department.
