The Bluffton American Legion Post 382 will honor all veterans on Monday, Nov. 12, to commemorate Veterans Day.

Here’s the Legion’s schedule on Nov. 12:

Dec. 4 deadline to have your lights judged

Got the best residential holiday lights in Bluffton?

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce thinks you should be rewarded. The chamber’s annual competition awards a $200 first place prize, $150 second place prize, $75 third place prize, and $75 Mayor’s Prize.

The awards come in “Bluffton Bucks,” checks that can be redeemed at chamber member businesses. Members are listed at www.explorebluffton.com/members.

We are teasing viewers with two photos from last Saturday's Christmas tree light decorating. Brendon Matthews took these two photos about 60 feet above Main Steet.

That's Matt Ellerbrock, Jeff Stratton and Tyler Bricker in the highlift. Watch the Icon later today more many more scenic Bluffton photos from 60 feet in the air.

Kyle Gratz says that he can see your house from where he stands. This photo may not mean much, until you examine the next photo, taken from ground level - about 60 feet below Kyle.

Gratz was among nearly 20 volunteers who strung Christmas lights on five trees in the Bluffton Presbyterian Church yard on Saturday. Matt Ellerbrock took this photo and shares it with the Icon.

We aren't certain if the volunteers allowed Kyle to come back to earth. Next time you walk by the church, check to see if he's still up there.
