The Gardeners of the Bluffton Pandora Area next program is a presentation by Tim Brugeman, Hancock County Master Gardener volunteer.

The program is at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the Bluffton Public Library. Additional information about the club is in the attached newsletter.

Bluffton University will host a book signing event for Dr. Samuel H. Hancock from 3-4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, in Musselman Library’s Reading Room. A member of Bluffton’s class of 1974, Hancock recently wrote the book “Lord Help Me… I Have a Date!”

Bluffton University will host a concert featuring its Concert Band at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, in Yoder Recital Hall. The performance, part of Homecoming weekend activities at Bluffton, is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken for music scholarships during intermission.

She is Bluffton University's 10th president

Jane Wood Ph.D., will be inaugurated as Bluffton University’s 10th president at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, in Yoder Recital Hall.

Alumni and community members are invited to watch the ceremony at https://livestream.com/bluffton. The event will include remarks from community, campus and religious leaders.

Maxie Kleman correctly identified the flower scene in front of the Bluffton Post Office, along with nearly a dozen other Icon viewers.

It was in the Icon's petunia search, posted last week. Maxie's name was drawn from all winners in the competition, and wins two Shannon Theatre passes.

Mt. St. Joseph comes to Bluffton on Saturday

The Bluffton University football team struggled to move the ball in a 28-10 loss to Hanover College on a comfortable Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018. Bluffton fell to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference, while the Panthers (1-2, 1-0 HCAC) earned their first victory.
