Dr. Mark Bourassa, assistant dean of students and director of the University Event Complex, will present the Forum, "Bluffton's Honor Code in the World," at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Yoder Recital Hall.
During the presentation, Bourassa will examine the historical context of honor codes in the United States as well as Bluffton University. Bourassa will also reflect on the impact of creating individual cultures of integrity through the honor code.
Bluffton's downtown Christmas garlands will be installed by the Bluffton Fire Department on Saturday, Nov. 11, starting at 8 a.m., according to Paula Scott, of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.
"If your business participates in the garland program, Fire Chief Jon Kinn asks that you place the garlands outside your location the night before. They need to be ready to go," she said.
Bluffton Family Recreation is in the midst of a repurpose your shoes "shoe drive." To date, over 2,500 pairs are collected. BFR has a goal of 6,250 pairs and hopes to attain that by Dec. 1 when the drive ends. For more details on how you can donate to the drive, click here. Bluffton High School Drama Club presents "Bedtime Stories," during two performances later this month.
The play's actual title is "Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed them Up). Performances are 7:30 p.m., (doors open 6:30 p.m.), Saturday, Nov. 18, and 2 p.m. (doors open 1 p.m.), Sunday, Nov., 19, in the Bluffton Middle School cafetorium.
General admission tickets are available at the door, $4 for adults and $1 for students.
