Baylifft Gym and Box, 23535 Township Road 68, Dunkirk, hosts an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23.
The open house includes give-aways, drawings, door prizes and other special activities. Drawings are hourly throughout the day. See the display ad at the bottom of this story.
Visitors may tour the facility during the open house. Special events taking place include:
Pandora United Methodist Church will hold a free community meal on Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 5:30- 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora.
The meal this month is provided by Ted’s Market. The menu will include pulled pork sandwich, green beans, applesauce, dessert and beverage.
Oscar Velasquez adds Harold Rau and Bill McKibben, Sr., to the mural on the 120 N. Main St. building. He'll also add Gary and Shannon Reese and logos of Ellerbrock Spine and Soft Tissue and Faith Investment Services. In addition, he is doing some mural touch up. Persons interested in adding people to the mural may contact Velasquez at 419-358-0533. He will work on the mural much of this week.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Senior Jordan Watkins (Reynoldsburg) has been named the Heartland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following Bluffton's first victory of the season.
Watkins led the Beavers to a 32-31 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, Sept. 16. The senior hit four field goals, including a 37 yarder with less than 30 seconds remaining to seal the win over the Lions!
Bluffton welcomes the HCAC-favorite Franklin College Grizzlies to Alumni Field on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Junior Bethany Martini (Pickerington, Ohio/North) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week after leading the Beavers to a 3-1 mark. It marks the second time in three weeks that Martini has been the Offensive Player of the Week in the HCAC!
The powerful outside pounded 62 kills (4.77 KPS) for a .260 hitting percentage. She was named the Bluffton Fall Classic MVP after a career-high 22 kills in a four-set victory over Allegheny.
Bluffton’s family-friendly 14th annual Fall Festival is Saturday, Sept. 23. Activities are in six locations throughout the community with most taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. As in past festivals, bus transportation is available between all locations at scheduled intervals.
