Friends of the Bluffton Public Library will hold its 5th annual 5K Run/Walk for Literacy on Saturday, June 16.
Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Co., and the Friends of the Library host the event. The run/walk begins at 9 a.m. in front of Bluffton High School on College Avenue.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Bluffton Public Library lower level. Registration fees are $20 (10 years and under, free). T-shirts are included in the registration cost until May 31.
Bluffton Pirate youth football camp registrations are being accepted for the Tuesday through Thursday, June 19-21 camp, according to Jeff Richards, BHS varsity football coach.
The camp is for first through sixth graders and takes place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Harmon Field. Cost is $30 per camper.

Ohio's primary election is Tuesday, May 8. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Polls for voters in the village of Bluffton are at the Bluffton elementary school.

What's a farmers' market without some string pickin'? Bluffton's farmers' market opened Saturday to a large crowd and full set of vendors. Entertaining the shoppers were a group from the jammin' at the library weekly gathering. These are some of the regular attendees at the Library's Jam session on second and fourth Monday of every month.
Rev. Charles E. Warren, 96, of Bluffton, died May 6, 2018, at his daughter's residence in Pekin, Illinois. Charles was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Pana, Illinois to the late Zed McNarry and Jennie (Read) Warren. On Oct. 14, 1944 he married Anita Steiner Warren who preceded him in death on June 11, 2002.
Charles was a graduate of Pana High School in Pana, Illinois, Wheaton College and also earned a Master's Degree in Theology at Wheaton Graduate Department, The Orlinda Childs Pierce Memorial School of Theology.
