Three concerts are planned this week in Sauder Visual Arts Center on the Bluffton University campus. Each concert is at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick.
The performances are connected to "From Swords to Plowshares," art exhibit in the center.
Performing on Thursday is Doug Adams. Performing on Friday is Chappell-Dick. Performing on Saturday are Adams and Chappell-Dick. Saturday's performance is a sing-along.
Doug Adams will perform in the first of a series of concerts in the RAWtools gallery display at 4 p.m., Thursday, July 6. The exhibit is in the Sauder Visual Arts Center on the Bluffton University campus and is free and open to the pubic. Click here for more information.
All youth who are age 4 by July 1 through 5th grade are invited to register for Operation Arctic this year's theme for the Bluffton Community Vacation Bible School.
This year the community VBS will be held at English Lutheran Church, 111 Grove St., from Sunday, July 16, through Thursday, July 20. VBS is held from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening. There is no cost for VBS.
The Bluffton Icon wishes its viewers a happy July 4th. Here's a patrotic post card from 1917 mailed to Werner Althaus, Bluffton native, living in Toledo at the time. The Icon will take the holiday off and we'll be back with more Bluffton news on July 5.
