University Chorale and Bluffton Choral Society performance

Bluffton University’s Masterworks performance is to be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, in Yoder Recital Hall.

The concert will feature “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi. A free-will offering will be taken to help cover expenses.

The chorus is comprised of members from the Bluffton University Chorale and the Bluffton Choral Society. They will be joined by an orchestra made up of university students and community members.

The soloists are Bluffton University students: Anna Cammarn, Constance Moushon, Meghan Gibson, Mary Bender and Kimberly Meyer.

No change in ownership, management or daily operations

Bluffton's DTR Industries has a new name.

As of March 1 it will be SumiRiko Ohio, Inc., according to Takahisa Kato, president and COO.

DTR manufactures anti-vibration products for the automotive industry. It was established in Bluffton in 1988 and employs 600 associates.

The name change announcement, made today also stated that there is no change to DTR Industries’ ownership, management or daily operations.

Bluffton resident Brandon Rhodes, engineer at Dropbox, presented a Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs workshop on file storage services (Clouds) following Friday morning's chamber breakfast. Later this year Rhodes chairs the worldwide PyCon 2017 confrence in Portland, Ore., for users of Python programming language.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University's KAYCEE ROWE (Harrod/Allen East) bucketed 22 points and six rebounds per game as the Beavers improved to 19-4 following road wins at Defiance and Anderson last week. She earned her second straight Heartland Conference Player of the Week honor and is the second Bluffton women's basketball player to be recognized this year following Rachel Beining (Ottoville) who took home the same award four weeks ago.
