Harold Eugene Lehman, 84, died on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, Ohio, where he resided since December 2014.
Harold was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Lancaster County, Pa., to Daniel and Ada (Hossler) Lehman who preceded him in death. On Feb. 3, 1954, he married Beulah (Kinsey) Lehman who died Aug. 5, 1998. On Nov. 18, 2000, he married Bonnie (Krantz) Lehman who survives.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Beavers fell just short in a nail-biting 67-65 loss to the visiting Manchester University Spartans on Wednesday, Jan. 11. Bluffton dipped to 1-5 in the HCAC (8-5 overall) while the Spartans improved to 3-4 (4-9 overall).
Bluffton is among five schools to be recognized on Jan. 13 by the Activated School Challenge.
St. Rita’s Health Partners and YMCA’s PICH Grant launched the Activated School Challenge at the beginning of the 2016-17 school year.
The goal of the challenge is to bring health and wellness initiatives, policies, programs and interventions to area schools. The programs were created with technical assistance and financial support from St. Rita’s and YMCA.
Columbus Crew Soccer Club will hold one of its winter camps at Bluffton Family Recreation in January.
The one-day camp is Monday, Jan. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. It is open to youth ages 5 to 14. Registration is $75 per youth.
Camps will focus on player development through a core foundation of soccer skills and a challenging learning environment. A wide range of technical training will be included such as dribbling, passing, controlling and finishing.

Phil Sugden, assistant professor of art at Bluffton University, and Carole Elchert, assistant professor of communication at University of Findlay, will preview their documentary “Activismo: Art and Dissidence in Cuba” for Forum at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
