 Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera, will hold a New Year’s Eve service  on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. 

Pastor Al Schmitzer will lead the servicetitled:  “Happy New Year?”  There will be a worship service to begin the new year on Sunday, Jan. 1 at 9:30 a.m. led by Pastor Matt Nowak. (This is a change from the regular Sunday schedule.) 

Bluffton Senior Citizens name them Volunteers of the Year

Two Bluffton couples earned special honors from the Bluffton Senior Citizens Association in December, according to Tonya Meyer, director.

Roger and Jo Edwards and Harlan and Pat Basinger were named Volunteers of the Year. The association board based the award on “their hard work to make the center a better place.” The awards were presented during the December dinner meeting.

The Center has several other announcements at the close of the year.

CG Pro Bikes-Curling Iron building smoke-free properties

It's all about improving your health.

Raymond and Liz Harner, owners of CG Pro Bikes, 127 N. Main St.,  working with Allen County Public Health have developed a smoke-free property at the bike shop, the Curling Iron, 129 N. Main St. and their residential units on the second floors of their building. 

Signage indicating that the property is smoke-free is posted at several places on the property, including the parking lot behind the building and at the entry ways.
