The Bluffton High School guidance office will hold a financial aid meeting for parents and students (juniors and seniors) who plan to continue their education beyond high school.
The meeting is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14, in the high school library. Chris Fowler, financial aid director at Bluffton University, will make a presentation. He will discuss financial aid and filing the FAFSA form.
The Pride of Ada - the Pennsylvania Railroad caboose in the Ada depot park was renovated this summer. At 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, during Ada's Harvest and Herb Festival, the caboose will be re-christened. Here's the story of the caboose.

In this week's action, Shawnee defeated Bluffton in volleyball 3-0.
Scores were as follows: 9-25; 18-25; 16-25.
Lead hitter was Haley Baker with 8 kills and 26 attempts.
Lead blocker was Katie Prater with 6 blocks, Andi Schmutz with 5, and Jazmynn Wilson with 5.
Haley Baker also had 12 digs in the game.
Dick Ramseyers leads a discussion with Maple Crest residents on the Bluffton Pedestrian and Bike Path progress. In October a walking and bike path will be constructed from the corner of Bentley Road-Augsburger Road to Riverbend and Maple Crest.
