In the U.S. 18 percent of the population, nearly 50 million Americans, lives in poverty. That is an increase of seven percent since 2000. More than 250 communities across 50 states use Aha! Process concepts to combat poverty at the individual, community and institutional levels. Aha! Process’s annual Addressing the Challenges of Poverty conference brings together local and national groups to explore best practices to alleviate poverty.
Hannah Chappell-Dick, Bluffton, is building an impressive campaign in her final cross country season, earning her third Old Dominion Athletic Conference Runner of the Week award today. With three full-fledged races under her belt on the season, Chappell-Dick has now been named the ODAC Runner of the Week after each of them.
The outcome of the Homecoming Football game matched the setting: cold, windy and miserable. Delphos Jefferson made quick work of the Bluffton squad in a 50-7 dispatch to put a damper on the parade and attendant and escort festivities. Jefferson improved to 5-1 with the win while Bluffton dropped its second straight contest and sits at 4-2.
