Teddy, a therapy dog, listens as Kaydance Sommers tells him about the picture book she glances through. Teddy comes to the Bluffton Public Library two Saturdays each month. His next visit is at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29. According to his owner, Connie Anderson, Teddy likes to listen to youngsters read to him.

The lobby in Hirschy Hall is the latest residence hall lobby to get a makeover at Bluffton University.

Students moving in at Hirschy this weekend will see a lobby, and adjacent lounge, with new paint, flooring and furniture, courtesy of a 50th-year class gift from Bluffton’s class of 1965.

Indoor soccer league sign-ups for 2015-16 are underway at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Joseph Beagle, director. League play is available for U8 all the way to adult competition.

Douglas Lee Steinman, 52 of Lima and formerly of Gilboa died Aug. 24, 2015, at his residence. Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Ada Harvest and Herb Fest. This year's event is Saturday, Sept. 19, in downtown Ada. The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the event.
