Who will it be?

The Bluffton Lions Club seeks nominees for the 2014 citizen of the year.

The award was established in 1981. It honors a person, couple or someone representing a group who has selflessly given time, effort and talent for the benefit of those in the Bluffton area and whose dedication and achievements have profoundly improved the quality of life of the people of the area.

The nominee may be living or deceased (within the last year). The winner will be honored at a banquet on Tuesday, April 21.

Ready for a good mystery – and a great meal?

Tickets are still available to The Centre at Bluffton’s murder mystery dinner theatre taking place Saturday, March 7, according to Brenda Gaines, Center manager.

The drama is “Broadcast Radio Murders,” and the deadline for reservations is Monday, March 2. No tickets will be available at the door.

The drama is hosted by Mr. E. Murder Productions. Tickets are available at:
• $40 each
• Two for $74
• Table of eight for $380 ($35 each)
(plus sales tax)

The Bluffton Senior Citizens Center will host two community meals in March. These meals are planned by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association.

Meals are:
• Thursday, March 5, 6 p.m.
• Thursday, March 19, 6 p.m.

Meals are open to the public and have no admission charge. Persons interested in making donations may bring canned food for the Bluffton Food Pantry.
