First National Bank celebrates the first anniversary of the opening of its Findlay west branch. A customer appreciation celebration is planned from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 10. The office is at 1114 Trenton Ave., Findlay.

Apollo Career Center student Gabe Cozadd will be traveling to Kansas City for his performance in the state SkillsUSA competition.

Cozadd, an Automated Manufacturing Technology junior from Bluffton, won first place and received a gold medal in CNC Milling and qualified for the National SkillsUSA competition held June 23-29, in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Bluffton Public Library will be buzzing with activities this summer and fall, according to Cindi Chasse, administrator.

The Apollo Career Center Culinary Arts students performed top notch in the recent state FCCLA competitions. These students will be attending the National FCCLA skills competition held in July in Nashville, Tennessee.

They each received a $6,000 scholarship for each gold rating. Eric Teidosio, Shawnee, Dining Room Attendant; Lauren Harvey, Elida, Food Innovations; Sarah Bogart, Columbus Grove, Tori Hunt, Shawnee, and Kristen Kryzkowski, Bath, Chapter Showcase Team; Eric Teodosio, Shawnee, Eric Otto, Columbus Grove, and Amanda Shafer - Columbus Grove, Entrepreneurship Team.

Richard Nicholas Goodenbour, 53 of Bluffton died at 12:10 pm May 7, 2013 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born March 19, 1960 in Benson, Minnesota, to the late Robert E. and Rosella E. (Nelson) Goodenbour. On May 29, 1999, he married Rachel Clemens and she survives.

Richard was a self-employed accountant.

Survivors also include a brother Brad (Renee) Goodenbour of Benson, Minnesota; and four nephews Joel, Bryce, Brent and Brandon Goodenbour.
