Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace in 3D" (PG) is showing at the theatre from February 17 - 23.

Show times follow:

3D shows are each evening at 7:00 and 9:30 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4:00 PM.

2D shows are Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 PM only.

All 3D seats are only $6.00. Passes are not accepted for 3D features.

International show

2014 Ford police interceptor vehicle

A different type of police vehicle is on its way to Bluffton. On Monday Bluffton council okayed the purchase of an all-wheel drive 2013 Ford police interceptor vehicle as its newest member of the fleet.

About 200 people shared an evening of international culture as Bluffton University's annual Global Weekend concluded on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Among the flag-bearing Bluffton students entering The Commons in Marbeck Center were sophomores (left to right) Sandra Vimbiso of Zimbabwe, Cincinsoko Akanya of Nigeria and Ntekesha Mbala, representing the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Bluffton University distance medley relay team shattered the school record by 22 seconds at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday, Feb. 13 and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track Athletes of the Week.

Bluffton's new voter map

Bluffton's five Allen County election precincts are now three. The Allen County board of elections reduced the number of Allen County precincts from 121 to 80 in a cost-savings measure this winter.

According to Mark Vernick, director of the Allen County board of elections, the size of the new precincts in Bluffton was based upon the number of registered voters in the village.
