Patrons of the Bluffton Public Library are invited to participate in the third annual holiday giving tree at the library. By making a donation, persons may honor someone, rememeber a loved one or mark a special occasion. Ornaments are available with those donations.
"Pantasia," the award-winning Findlay High School Steel Drum Band entertained members of the Bluffton Lions Club and their spouces during the club's Christmas banquet held at the middle school.
The band is directed by Tim Mattis a Bluffton University graduate. The Band has 35 pans covering 14 voices and a drum set. While the band was playing the audience was invited to walk in and around the
members as they performed.
The Inn at Ohio Northern University announces the addition of new Executive Chef, James Curran.
Chef Jim is a Cory-Rawson High School graduate, a graduate of the John Casablanca Modeling School and The Restaurant School of Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia.
He has worked with celebrities such as Chefs Gram Kerr and Emeril Lagasse and has owned his own catering company. Most recently, Chef Jim was the Executive Chef at the Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Ky., where he was responsible for the restaurant, concessions and catering events.
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Choir will present "Night of the Father's Love," a Christmas musical celebration, on Sunday, Dec. 11, at both the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.
The cantata is a worshipful and beautiful telling of the Christmas story with music and narration. Pastor Jeff Bolwerk will speak the narration with Trinity's 30-voice choir singing of the anticipation of Jesus' coming, the angel's announcements to Zechariah, Mary and Joseph, Jesus' birth, the shepherds seeking the newborn King, their worship of Him and closing with "Christ is Born, Nowell."
