Bluffton University's Social Work Club would like to extend a gracious thank you for all who were involved in our Trick-or-Canning event.
This was an extremely successful event and we were able to exceed our goal of 500 items for the West Ohio Food Bank. We even received more nonperishable goods after our deadline!
Several Bluffton dancers plus area students will perform during the Saturday, Dec. 3, Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre, Ada, dance recital at Lima Senior High School.
According to Darcey Schneider, owner of the studio, the holiday recital tradition has over 30 numbers. It features all of the students at the studio and includes holiday favorites including Jingle Bell Rock, Up on The House Top, and a visit from Santa.
There are sale and then there are Ten Thousand Village bag sales.
Aphaphanh Nussbaum, manager of Ten Thousand Villages, 115 S. Main St., Bluffton, announced that the Main Street shop will have a One Day Only Bag Sale.
"Take 20% off everything you fit in the shopping bag this Saturday, Nov. 12," Nussbaum told The Icon.

Village Cut & Curl, 212 Cherry St., Bluffton, and friends, are selling raffle tickets for a 42-inch visio TV.

Village Cut & Curl, 212 Cherry St., Bluffton, is planning a a Cut-a-thon on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help raise money for Bluffton Relay for Life.
Lynda Best said, "If you bring in a canned good (for the Bluffton food pantry) you will get a discount. We also will be having a discount on feather extensions that day also."
