Henry Jones 1936-2011
Henry M.B. Jones, 75, of Pandora died at 12:55 pm Nov. 19, 2011 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born in Lima on Oct. 16, 1936 to Henry and Grace McVickers Jones. On July 17, 1955 he married Patricia VanDyke and she survives.
Henry retired from Phillips ECG, Ottawa. He was a member of the Pandora Missionary Church and taught Sunday School at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora for 30 years. He was a graduate of Shawnee High School and served in the US Navy for eight years.
Survivors also include four children, Charles (Deb) Jones of Meridian, ID, Kathy Gile of Pandora, Jeffrey Jones of Vidor, Texas, David Jones of Lima, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a brother, Ronald Jones of Lima and two sisters, Patricia (William) Jones of Lima and Kathleen "Kathy" Miller of Pandora. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Jones and a sister Janice Hicks.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Sam Ochstein will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
