Senior Citizens Center extends hours in December; has several holiday events planned
Lots of holiday related activities are planned at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center this month, according to Tonya Meyers, director.
The Center will hold extended shopping hours: Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until the weekend of Christmas.
Peanut brittle is available while the supply lasts. The Bluffton-made candy is available at the Center for $5 a pound. Another Christmas gift idea are Bluffton playing cards, based on historical photos representing Bluffton. Decks are $10 each, while supplies last.
A blood pressure clinic is planned from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Dec. 7. Mennonite Home Health Services will provide a nurse.
The Center's December dinner meeting is at noon, Monday, Dec. 12, catered by Richland Manor. Musical entertainment and Bingo follow the meal. Reservations are required by Dec. 7.
A Christmas dance potluck is Tuesday, Dec. 20. The potluck is at 4:30 p.m. Dancing is from 6 to 8 p.m.
Two community meals are scheduled. The first is Thursday, Dec. 1, and the second is Thursday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m.
The Center will be closed Monday, Dec. 26.
