150+ year Bluffton tradition continues new year's eve
Our community's oldest and longest continuing tradition takes place on new year's eve. And you are invited to participate.
Will you join for an hour or two with other area folks singing this community's two 150+ year-old songs?
"The traditional New Year's Eve serenading Dec. 31, takes place at Mennonite Memorial Home, and Maple Crest," said Jordan. "We start at 5 p.m. in the lobby of Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St.
"Come 15 minutes early to practice or get acquainted. The Swiss Community Historical Society of Bluffton/Pandora urges all to come, and will provide song sheets, or bring your own," he said.
He adds: If you don't speak the Swiss-German dialect we have phonetic versions for you. And if you can't sing, just hum along! Keep this happy 150 year-old event alive!
