Bluffton 4th grader a hit at National Talent Showcase in Orlando
Bluffton fourth grader, Courtney McLaughlin, competed in a National Talent Showcase in Orlando, Fla., Dec. 14-21, and came home a winner.
According to her parents, Jim and Lisa McLaughlin, Courtney placed first in Cold Read, second in TV Commercial and second in Singing in her age group while in Orlando.
"While she was competing at this event she was choosen to perform also in the main event called the 'Showcase'," said her father. She was choosen to sing and do her TV commerical. This was an honor to be choosen by the judges to perform again as only few dozen performers were invited to perform in the Showcase."
Courtney was among 245 contestants at the Orlando event.
