1981 BHS graduate Michael Blake named to Apollo Alumni Hall of Fame
Former Bluffton resident and BHS grad, Michael Blake, was inducted into the Apollo Career Center Alumni Hall of Fame this month. The induction was during the all-area Apollo board meeting.
Blake, a 1981 Bluffton and Apollo welding graduate, is owner of Top WeldMan, located in Celina. He has owned the business for the past 13 years.
Through various employment opportunities and professional development he has obtained many different types of welding certifications.
During the Hall of Fame event, Blake shared that because of Apollo, he has been able to live his dream, which is to be a business owner. He said that he hopes to return to the classroom someday to be a weld instructor and give back what Apollo has given to him, which is the ability to love what he does and be profitable at it.
Blake lives in Celina. His daughter, Brianne Blake, is a recent graduate of Apollo's Floral Design/Interiors program.
Bluffton and Apollo Career Center board member Brad Fruchey presented the award to Blake during ceremony.
