University distance medley relay named HCAC Athletes of the Week
The Bluffton University distance medley relay team shattered the school record by 22 seconds at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday, Feb. 13 and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track Athletes of the Week.
The team of Brandi Dominique (Wauseon), Kayla Mullenhour (Delphos/Jefferson), Alison Janzen (Whitewater, KS/Remington) and Maddie Moore (Linn Grove, Ind./South Adams) took sixth place in a school record time of 12:59.90, an impressive feat for a squad that was seeded 12th going into the meet. The time is also the fastest in the HCAC this season.
The Beavers compete again on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
