SHANNON Service Club garage sale and chicken barbecue this weekend
It's another certain sign of spring - the SHANNON Service Club's community garage sale and chicken barbecue take place at the end of this month.
Garage sale Feb. 24-25
The commuity garage sale is Friday, Saturday, Feb 24-25. It's the ninth annual sale. Hour are Friday, Feb. 24, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event is at The Centre, 601 N. Main Street. Parking is free and admission is just $1. Based upon previous events, the sale traditionally attracts from 30 to 35 vendors.
"You will find items and gadgets of every sort from A to Z, in addition to a variety of yummy food items. A coin dealer in attendance will pay cash for your old coins-bring them along," said Duane Bollenbacher, of the SHANNON Cub.
All proceeds from the garage sale will go toward local youth and community projects.
For information about obtaining a booth for the garage sale, contact Deb Bollenbacher at 419-358-7365 or 419-230-2291.

The club is holding a pick-up or eat-in Harlan's chicken barbeue on Friday, Feb. 24, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Centre. Tickets are $7 each and may be purchased from any S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club member or at Greg's Pharmacy.
A ticket for the chicken barbecue allows you free admission to the garage sale if picked up inside.
