Bluffton High School artists selected for Lima ArtSpace show
Bluffton High School junior Brooke Heinz won best of show in this year's Kewpee High School art invitational at Art/Space Lima, according to Vickie Garmon, BHS art teacher.
The show is held at Lima Artspace and the works will be on display now until April 14. Brooke Heinze won the best of show with a mixed media piece titled "Kylee." The model in the work is Kylee Barnett, also at Bluffton High School junior.
A painting by Lily Schumacher, freshman, won first place in paintings. The title of her work is "The House On Main Street." The painting depicts the house on the corner of Main and Poplar in Bluffton.
Others that were selected for show are Megan Dulle, Sara Chappell-Dick (2 pieces), Kyla Dawson, Brittany Brown, Mikaela Diller, and RJ Stratton. Twenty schools participated and 107 pieces were selected for the show.
