Miles Richardson named HCAC Pitcher of the Week
Bluffton University hurler Miles Richardson (Granville/Newark Catholic) was recently named HCAC Pitcher of the Week for games on March 5-11, 2012.
The junior tossed a nine-inning complete game three-hitter in Bluffton's 5-1 win over Muskingum. Richardson allowed three hits and just one unearned run in the win, holding his opponents to a .107 average with five strikeouts.
Richardson also paced the Beavers at the plate, going 13-of-28 for a .464 batting average in six games last week. He drove in five runs with one homer, two doubles and a .643 slugging percentage.
Bluffton (3-7, 0-0 HCAC) will travel to Oberlin for a 4 p.m. contest on Wednesday before the home opener with Albion on Saturday.
