Late spring classes about to begin for youth at BFR; April 24 registration deadline for Kid's Fun Nite
The final session of late spring youth programs will begin the week of April 16 at BFR Sports and Fitness, according to Carole Enneking, director.
Youth in grades kindergarten through grade three may choose from skills classes in basketball (Thursdays), football (Tuesdays),
dodgeball (Fridays), t-ball basics (Mondays) and swim (Thursdays).
Older youth (grades 3-6) may choose to be part of the flag football program or tennis lessons (Tuesdays), swim lessons on Thursdays, or dodgeball on Fridays.
Most programs will run five weeks, ending in mid-May. Swim lessons
will run a total of six weeks, ending closer to the opening of the Bluffton pool. Class fees vary according to the sport. Registration is available by telephone to 419-358-4150.
Van service from Bluffton schools is available for classes that meet after school. The complete schedule of programs is available on the website www.bfronline.com.
Kids Fun Nite April 28
BFR will hold a spring fun night on Saturday, April 28 from 6-11 p.m. Youth ages 4 to 12 years are welcome to this event. Participants will keep active all evening with dodgeball, flashlight tag, basketball and soccer competitions, and relay races.
Time for free play and crafts will be included, too. Participants will also get a chance to break the prize-filled pinata, as well. Cost is $20 ($10 BFR members) and includes snacks and drinks as well as pizza as a late night treat.
Attendance is limited to 75 youth, with the registration deadline of April 24. For more information, contact BFR 419-358-4150.
