The Impressions, the award-winning show choir of Cory-Rawson High School, will present Cabaret 2012 at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28 in the Cory-Rawson Auditorium.

Tickets are adults $7 and students $5 and may be purchased at the door both Friday and Saturday evenings.

Cabaret 2012 is the end-of-the-year performance and celebration of the talented members of the Impressions and Stingers - award winning back-up combo for the Impressions.

Members of these groups will present a variety of musical and comedy acts, ranging from witty musical theatre numbers to Saturday Night Live-styled skits.

The show choir will also perform its award-winning 2011-2012 season competition show, which consists of pop tunes such as "Louder Than Words," "Higher," "Born Beautiful," "Time Again/Hazy Shade of Winter" and "Famous Last Words."

The Impressions is comprised of 26 vocalists/dancers, a nine-piece instrumental ensemble and a four-member crew. The members are active in athletics, cheerleading, FFA and other CRHS activities.

Every member is also involved in the choral and/or band ensembles offered at Cory-Rawson.

The goal of the Impressions is to provide an educational yet entertaining production through their high-energy vocals and flawless choreography.

The Impressions and Stingers have consistently received excellent and superior ratings in competitions throughout the Midwest. In addition to placing high within their respective classes and overall competitions, the group has received awards for Best Vocals, Best Combo, Best Choreography, Best Show Design, and Best Costumes.

The Impressions are under the direction of Matt Taylor and Brian Rodabaugh along with choreography by Brian Rodabaugh.

This year the Impressions traveled to Ada Music Feast, the Bellmont Winter Spectacular, Bishop Luers, Teays Valley and Wapakoneta Music 'n More.

Additionally, they made their annual Christmas tour, which takes them to many local nursing homes. The Impressions and Stingers members also take part in numerous OMEA and Honor Choir and Band opportunities along with various outside musical productions.
