Proposed school rating system tightens school's grades - but Bluffton would still rise to the top
Bluffton schools - one of 17 in Ohio.
A new proposed rating system for Ohio school districts will make it much more difficult for districts to obtain the top rating of an "A," according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent.
Writing in the spring Bluffton Exempted Village Schools newsletter, Denecker, writes that last year 352 fo the 609 school districts in Ohio obtained either an "Excellent" or "Excellent with Disctinction" designation.
He adds that based on last year's results, wtih the proposed new system, only 17 school districts in Ohio would have received an "A." Bluffton would have been one of those 17 districts.
