Bridge Hospice hosting Camp S.T.A.R.
Bridge Hospice Bereavement Services, Findlay, will be hosting its annual bereavement camp for children, Camp S.T.A.R., June 11-14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brugeman Lodge at Riverbend Park in Findlay.
Camp S.T.A.R., which stands for Special Times Always Remembered, is a four-day bereavement camp for children ages 6-12 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Campers participate in fun, traditional camp activities combined with grief and loss education. Together, campers realize they are not alone with some of the questions and feeling they have been facing.
All activities are facilitated by professionals specializing in grief and loss issues, as well as trained volunteers, with the goal of providing resources to facilitate healthy coping and living.
Registration for Camp S.T.A.R. is being taken now through June 6. Registration forms are available by calling Bridge Hospice at 419.423.5351 or e-mailing [email protected].
