Public library announces July closings
Bluffton Public Library will be closed from Monday, July 2, to Saturday, July 7, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The bookdrop will also remain closed during that week.
Both the library and the bookdrop will reopen to the public at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 9. Due to state funding cuts that exceed $75,000 per year, the library's board of trustees has approved closing additional days around the holidays to reduce expenses and to avoid reducing regular hours during the year.
Bluffton Public Library will also close for two days in mid-July to change its circulation system to the SEO Library Consortium. The library will be closed on Monday, July 16, and Tuesday, July 17, with plans to reopen at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18.
Once the library reopens, patrons will have access to resources from 80 Ohio libraries as well as access to downloadable e-books, audiobooks, music and video.
Bluffton Public Library's online catalog will also be unavailable during the migration to the SEO system and will have a new website address when it becomes available after July 18.
For more information, visit the library or call 419-358-5016.
