Bob Hollar, Dan Garlock, George Hakin and Joe Bailey win library golf scramble
The team of Bob Hollar, Dan Garlock, George Hakin and Joe Bailey won the second annual Friends of the Bluffton Public Library golf scramble, held June 9, at the Bluffton Golf Club.
Nine teams participated in the second annual "Birdies for Bookworms" golf scramble.
Following the round of golf and several proximity contests on the course, players enjoyed a dinner and the distribution of door prizes.
The committee for the golf outing - Tracy Steele, Sallie Jones, Cindi Chasse, Jim Shaffer, Barb Stettler and Jan Potter - thanks all of the sponsors for their financial support and door prize donations.
The Friends were able to raise approximately $1,900 for children's programs and other special library projects. A sign listing the golf outing sponsors will be displayed at the library.
