This is what the June 29 storm did in Columbus Grove
The June 29 severe wind storm was not kind to neighoring Columbus Grove. In fact, Columbus Grove was hit much harder than Bluffton in the storm.
The most striking result of the storm was that the Christy's on the Square building, a popular chocolate shop, experienced a lost front face.
Christy's is temporarily closed. The Icon is not aware of a decision on what will take place to the building on Grove's Main Street. The upper floor housed several apartments.
Vehicles parked in front of the business were demolished when the front face collapsed.
