Hancock sheriff's office joins August-September national driving impaired crackdown
If you drink and drive in Hancock County beware, the sheriff's office is joining with law enforcement throughout the nation for the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign Aug. 17 to Sept. 3, according to Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
Sgt. Matt Kinsinger of the sheriff's deparment said: "Driving impaired is simply not worth the risk. So don't take the chance. Remember, we will be out in force and we will watching, so "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over." "
According to the Hancock County Sheriffs Office, violators face jail time, loss of their driver license's, and steep financial consequences such as higher insurance rates, attorney fees, court costs, lost time at work, and the potential loss of job.
