Senior Citizens plan trip to Canada in late summer
The Bluffton Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to the Canadian Rockies this summer according to Tonya Meyer, director.
The trip is Aug. 27 to Sept. 4. The fully-escorted and inclusive trip includes planes, trains, motor coaches and an "Ice Explorer."
"This beautiful nine-day tour from World Wide Country Tours, starts with a ride to the airport from the Bluffton Senior Center," said Meyer. "We fly from Columbus, to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where we will be met by our tour guide and taken to Banff for a welcome dinner."
She added: "We will enjoy Banff National Park with a ride on the Gondola to the summit for the views. Lake Louise, Emerald Lake and the Columbia Icefields are just some of the sights we will enjoy on the first part of the tour."
"We will also cruise Maligne Lake. We then board the Rocky Mountaineer for "The Most Spectacular Train Trip in the World!" The three-day train trip takes us to Vancouver from where we will fly home, said Meyer.
Brochures with full itineraries are available at the Bluffton Senior Center or call 419-358-8971 for more information. Non-senior citizens members are always welcome on the tours.
