Ryan Sommers was a 2000 graduate of Pandora-Gilboa HS
Ryan M. Sommers, 30, died at 4:17 p.m. Nov. 20, 2012, at University of Toledo Medical Center after an extended illness surrounded by his family and friends. He was born Jan. 3, 1982, in Bluffton to John and Elaine (Andrews) Sommers who survive in Bluffton.
He had been a computer IT Tech at First Solar Corporation, Perrysburg. He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. He was a 2000 graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
Survivors also include a brother, Danny (Maegan) Sommers of Bluffton; a sister, Jackie (Michael) Sylvester of Willowick, Ohio; two nephews Wesley Sommers and Matthew Sylvester; a paternal grandmother Betty Sommers of Bluffton; and maternal grandparents Harold and Helen Andrews of Beaverdam.
His paternal grandfather, Wesley Sommers, preceded Ryan in death.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. David Stratton officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m.and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Eastern Woods Radiation Center, Findlay or Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs, Ohio.
