Get your cookies "while they last" at Saturday's Senior Center cookie walk
"The Bluffton Senior Center is starting a new tradition," Tonya Meyer, director, told the Icon.
With the help from Signature Health Services, the Senior Center hosts it's first ever Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 9 a.m. until noon.
"The idea of a cookie walk is to have a wide variety of cookies available to purchase. The buyer can walk in with a little money and walk out with 12 different cookies or six of one kind, two of another and four of another." said Meyer.
"A half dozen cookies will be $3 and a dozen will be $5. It will be a great way to have a variety of cookies for the holidays without having to spend days in the kitchen." she added.
The following businesses and churches are providing the cookies:
First National Bank of Pandora
Mennonite Memorial Home
Touch of Sun Tanning
Signature Home Health
Ten Thousand Villages
Et cetera Shop
Webb Insurance
St. John's United Church of Christ
The Curling Iron
Hilty Home
St. Mary's Catholic Church
Webb Insurance
First United Methodist Church
All proceeds from the sale benefit the Bluffton Senior Center's operating budget.
For children, there will be a letter writing table where they can write letters to Santa Claus and will recieve and answer by mail.
