David Gibbs was a member of the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association
David A. Gibbs, 69 of Rawson died at 2:54 a.m., Dec. 15, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born June 11, 1943 in Bluffton to Albert and Helen (Habegger) Gibbs. On March 19, 1961 he married Carol Foltz and she survives.
He retired from Roppe Rubber Corp., Fostoria as a truck and shuttle driver and was also a farmer. He was a member of Moose Lodge #698, Findlay, the Liars Club and the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association. He was the owner of Gibbs RV Park, Indian Lake.
Survivors also include four children: Lynetta (Chris) Crow of Fostoria, Brenda (Randy) Woods of Findlay, Connie (Jeff) Cooper of Rawson, Phyllis (Rick) Rettig of Arlington; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother Frank Gibbs of Rawson; and a sister Sheila Niswander of Bluffton.
A son David Albert Gibbs Jr. and a brother in law Tom Niswander preceded him in death.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Chaplain Mark Tisch officiating. Burial will take place in Clymer Cemetery, near Mt. Cory.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Moose Lodge #698, Findlay or the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association.
