Robert and Mary Barnett celebrate 70th wedding anniversary
Robert and Mary Barnett of Bluffton, will celebrate 70 years of marriage Dec. 24, 2012, with a family celebration.
Robert and the former Mary Marshall were married in 1942 in San Antonio, Texas, where Robert was stationed with the Army Air Corps.
They are the parents of three children: David (Marilyn) Barnett of Albany, N.Y., Jayne (Dick) McGarrity of Bluffton and Jim (Nancy) Barnett of Syracuse, N.Y. They have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Robert is retired from Ford Motor Company and Mary is retired from teaching music at Bath Elementary.
