BFR winter sport and fitness schedule announced
The Winter BFR sport and fitness session of youth and adult programs is beginning the week of Jan.7, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
Youth Programs
▪ basketball - grades K-3 on Thursdays, 3:30pm
▪ football - grades K-3 on Tuesdays, 3:30pm
▪ dodgeball - grades K-8 on Fridays, 3:30pm
▪ volleyball - grades 3-7 on Wednesdays, 3:30pm
▪ swim lessons - infants to grade 4 on Thursday evenings at The Comfort Inn.
These classes meet weekly for seven weeks.
Tiny Tots classes, available for toddlers to pre-schoolers, is on Wednesdays 10am.
Dodgeball, available on a drop-in basis for a fee of $3 per week or for $15 for 7 weeks, will begin on Friday, January 11 at 3:30pm. Class is free for BFR members and family recreation pass holders.
The following classes begin the week of Jan. 14:
▪ Soccer Fun is available for ages 4 -6 onThursdays, 4:30pm.
▪ Music & Motion is available for children 2-5 years of age on Wednesdays, 4:30 pm.
▪ Rookie All Sports for all children ages 4 -6 on Tuesdays,4:30pm. beginning the week of January 14 for 6 weeks.
A four-week session of the U9 Indoor Soccer Intramurals will begin on Jan. 14 at 4:30pm. This program includes 90 minutes of training and matches for individual players who qualify for U8 or U9 divisions. The U9 program is an option for younger players who are not participating inBFR's indoor soccer leagues. Cost of for the U9 program is $30.
Class fees vary depending on the program. Registration is available by telephone
(419-358-4150) and payment may be handled by credit card over the phone, or may be made in person on the first day of class. In addition, BFR offers fitness center memberships, track passes and recreation passes. All BFR sports and fitness programs are open to the public. Scholarships are available for individuals and families with financial need.
Adult fitness classes:
▪ All-Star Workouts - Monday and Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m.
▪ water exercise - morning and evening class times to be announced.
▪ Zumba dance fitness -Saturdays, 9 a.m.
▪ YogaFit - Wednesdays, 6:30pm or Fridays, 8:30am.
▪ Senior fitness - Mondays and Thursdays, 10am.
▪ Total Body Conditioning - Monday and Friday, 7:30a.m; Tuesday and Thursday, noon; Monday and Wednesday, 6pm.
Try out any BFR class for one time without any fees. Regular class fees for non-members are $5 ($3 for BFR members).
Purchase an AnyClass Card for additional savings. BFR does not require pre-registration for fitness classes.
