Ryan Lowry inducted into Mortar Board National Honor Society
Ryan Lowry of Bluffton and staff member of The Bluffton Icon, has been inducted into the Aurora Chapter of Mortar Board at Ohio Northern University based on his excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service.
Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service. Since its founding in 1918, the organization has grown from the four founding chapters to 213 chapters and more than 230,000 initiated members across the nation.
Mortar Board is unique among honor societies and honoraries because it goes beyond merely recognizing outstanding students, as members of each Mortar Board chapter spend their senior year working together to give back to their communities, the nation and the world.
Mortar Board provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities, and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.
