Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio launches $1 million Rehabilitation and Wellness Center
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) of Bluffton launched a nine-month renovation project at the Mennonite Memorial Home campus main building on April 1.
“The $1 million project will create a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation and Wellness Center focusing on patients with short-term needs,” said Laura Voth, MHCO chief operating officer.
M&W Construction, Lima, is the project’s general contractor. Don Burris of Bluffton, is the project manager and Nick Mathewson also of Bluffton, is the project superintendent.
pH7 Architects of Columbus, is the architectural firm for the renovation.
The renovation will provide:
• 12 semi-private rooms will be converted to private rooms for persons
needing a short-term rehabilitation stay.
• 10 of the 12 rooms will include private showers.
• A whirlpool spa tub will be available.
• Two new dining and lounge areas.
• A newly-created therapy room for Physical and Occupational Therapies.
• Aesthetic and lighting updates throughout both nursing care floors and the third floor assisted living area.
• A new 350-kilowatt generator.
