RoseAnn "Rosie" Rodabaugh Dolan memorial service in April
Note: A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Bluffton.
RoseAnn "Rosie" Rodabaugh Dolan died on Jan. 3, 2010, in Portland, Ore., following a lengthy illness. She was born on Aug. 2, 1954, in Bluffton, Ohio to Dr. Franklin D. and Lois M. Neiswander Rodabaugh, who preceded her in death. She married Christopher Dolan on June 28, 1986, in Bluffton in the garden at the home of her parents.
RoseAnn was a 1972 graduate of Bluffton High School and graduated from Bowling Green University with a degree in Deaf Education in 1976. She worked as a Parent-Infant Specialist for the hearing impaired in both Chicago and Portland, Ore., where she received a nursing degree. After becoming a registered nurse, RoseAnn worked as a hospice and home health nurse and taught classes in and practiced Therapeutic Touch and other holistic healing methods.
RoseAnn lived on Orcas Island, Wash. Survivors include her husband, son Zachary, of Olympia, Wash., and daughter Adia, at home.
Survivors also include two brothers, Fred (Patricia) Rodabaugh of Bluffton and David (Christine) Rodabaugh of Lima, and four sisters, Kay (John) Parent of Kettering, Karen Farmer of Jacksonville, Fla., Dorothea Rodabaugh of Bluffton, and Lora (Robert) Haimes of Conifer, Colo.
Nephews and nieces Katie (Rob) Glenn, Katie (Wes) Campbell, Ashley Rodabaugh and Alex Rodabaugh of Lima, Amy (Jesse) Blackburn of Bluffton, Jessica Farmer and Lauren Farmer of Jacksonville, Fla., Jenna Haimes and Jackson Haimes of Conifer, Colo., Ty (Rosa) Parent of Pleasanton, Calilf., and Alison (Jeremy) Dee of Lake Bluff, Ill.
Memorial services were held on Orcas Island and Portland, Ore., in January and there will be a memorial service held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Bluffton.
