Bluffton Brownies on the hunt for Bluffton symbols
Bluffton Brownies Troop 20012 recently had an adventure in downtown Bluffton where they searched for symbols of the community, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick, leader.
As the Scouts brainstormed symbols of Bluffton before the symbol hunt, here are some of the ideas they came up with:
• Pirate
• basketball
• their own house
• Girl Scouts
• cats
• buckeyes
• murals
• grey squirrels
• robins
• Bluffton Community Swimming Pool
• Bluffton Child Development Center
• Buckeye Park
• fishing derby
• a feather pen, and
• the school.
“After our symbol hunt the girls made pictures of what they thought symbols of Bluffton should be. Those drawings are now on display in the town hall,” she said.
In addition to the photos, attached is a page from the Brownie handbook that describes the assignment of the badge the girls were working on.
