Bluffton Public Library is hosting a free “Touch a Truck” event from 4 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, to kick off its “Dig Into Reading” summer reading programs. Kids of all ages will have fun exploring and asking questions about all types of vehicles. More than a dozen different businesses and individuals will be bringing vehicles to the event.

Visitors can park at or near the library and walk to the school lot on College Avenue near the tennis courts. Registration for Summer Reading programs for all ages, including adults, will begin at 5 p.m. at the library during this kick-off event.

A wide variety of activities will continue throughout the summer, including weekly youth programs, special teen events, baby and preschool storytimes, DIY workshops, free family movies, gardening programs, and a QR Code scavenger hunt.

A July 25 finale will include a free Edible Books Contest held in partnership with Bluffton University Musselman Library to promote reading and creativity for all ages.
