Nov. 6 dinner benefits food pantry
Bluffton University's student-led Family and Consumer Science Association (FCSA) will hold its annual Spaghetti Dinner to support the Churches United Food Pantry Friday, Nov. 6, from 5-7 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton.
A non-perishable food item or monetary donation is requested upon admission. All proceeds will benefit the Churches United Pantry (CUP) located in Lima.
CUP serves between 700 and 1,000 residents of Lima each month. In 2008, FCSA's CUP dinner raised $1,200; equivalent to the pantry's monthly budget needs. Bluffton University's FCSA has set a goal of raising more than $1,200 and collecting more than 150 pounds of food at the 2009 dinner.
If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, donations may be directed to Karla Nofziger, president, at 1207 1 University Dr., Bluffton, Ohio, 45817. Checks should be made out to 'Churches United Pantry.' For more information on supporting the Churches United Food Pantry contact 419-221-3243.
